The Tollesboro Lions Club is a community service organization chartered April 30, 1954 and just a small part of the WORLD's LARGEST SERVICE ORGANIZATION (Lions Clubs International represents 45,000 clubs in 205 countries and geographic areas and 1.3 million members worldwide! Officially, we are recognized by Lions Club International as the Tollesboro Lions Club, and are designated as Club 14129.
WHERE WE ARE LOCATED:
The Tollesboro Lions Club Fairgrounds is located on the south side of KY 10 (approximately one-half mile west of the KY 10-KY 57 intersection), on the east side of Lions Club Lane (also known as Fairgrounds Lane or Grainery Lane and on older maps as Bane North Road), and on the north side of KY 9 (the "AA" Hwy. approximately one-quarter mile west of the intersection of KY 9 and KY 57 --- there is no direct access to the fairgrounds from KY 9, however Lions Club Lane is accessed directly from KY 9) at Tollesboro, Kentucky. Tollesboro is a small community situated at the intersection of KY 10 and KY 57 in western Lewis County, Kentucky. Tollesboro is conveniently located approximately equidistant --- approximately 15 miles --- from three county seats: Vanceburg, the county seat of Lewis County, KY is located east of Tollesboro; Maysville, the county seat of Mason County, KY is located west of Tollesboro; and Flemingsburg, the county seat of Fleming County, KY is located south of Tollesboro. To the north of Tollesboro is the city of Concord and the Ohio River which forms the northern boundary of Lewis Co., KY. Persons traveling from Maysville or Vanceburg typically use KY 10 or KY 9; persons traveling from Flemingsburg typically use KY 57.
WHEN AND WHERE WE MEET:
The Tollesboro Lions Club meets at 7:00 PM at the Tollesboro Lions Club Clubhouse (the clubhouse is situated near the northwest boundary of the Tollesboro Lions Club Fairgrounds on Lions Club Lane just off KY 10) the 2nd and 4th Monday of each month (except during the month of December when we meet only the 2nd Monday of the month and at which time we celebrate with our annual Christmas Party which typically is not held at our clubhouse).
